Zachry Construction specializes in a unique custom home building experience while also having the bonding ability to bid and timely deliver commercial projects. With a Georgia Residential/Light Commercial General Contractor's License, an Alabama General Contractor's License, and an Alabama Home Builder/Remodeling License, we have successfully completed numerous projects in East Central Alabama and West Central Georgia including Chambers, Lee, Randolph, Troup, Harris, and Coweta counties.
While most trades are subcontracted out, we self perform all concrete/foundation work as well as all finish carpentry/millwork/specialty trim in both commercial and residential applications.
Keeping a small but dedicated workforce allows Owners to get to know our employees and develop one on one relationships.
We strongly believe that communication is the key to a successful project whether large or small. Keeping owners, architects, & engineers properly informed leads to cost effective projects built in a timely fashion.
President - David Zachry
David earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction graduating Cum Laude from Georgia Southern University. He was a field engineer with Batson-Cook Company for 5 years working on numerous projects including: East GA Regional Medical Center, Statesboro, GA; e-DeltaCom (BCC 2001 $50 million Home Run Project winner receipient), Suwanee, GA; Cobb Galleria Parking Decks, Atlanta, GA; Troup County Fine Arts Center, LaGrange, GA; The Lodge and Spa at Callaway Gardens, Pine Mountain, GA; FDR Memorial Museum, Warm Springs, GA.
In 2003, David joined Zachry Construction. His experience in commercial construction allowed the company to diversify and broaden its scope of work to successfully include design-build and new construction commerical projects such as: Circle K Convenience Store, numerous locations in GA & AL; Women's Health at Water's Edge, Valley, AL; Xpress Materials, Harris County, GA; Carpets for Kids, West Point, GA; Johnny's Pizza, West Point, GA; Records Building Townhomes & Retail Space, West Point, GA.
David's attention to detail makes him an invaluable asset to the family interested in custom home construction. While building two to three custom homes each year, the relationship we build with an Owner allows us to help you realize your dream. Zachry Construction prides itself on true custom craftsmanship from cabinetry to finish trim pieces.
Vice President - Griggs Zachry
Griggs established Zachry Construction in 1996 and focused primarily on residential construction projects. He developed two subdivisions - Cross Creek, Lanett, AL and Forest Park II, West Point, GA - which included custom home builds and spec homes. He also constructed numerous custom homes throughout the Greater Valley Area. Commercial projects completed during his tenure include: Villas at Callaway Gardens, Pine Mountain, GA; Emory-Clark Holder Clinic, West Point, GA.
